About Me

Hi! I’m Amelia Metz, a Strategic Communications and Political Science student at Elon University. I work in design, content creation, and projects that bridge media, communication, and public service.

What I Do

I write, design, and create content that informs and engages. My work includes editorial writing, print and digital design, multimedia storytelling, and strategic communications for nonprofit, media, and community-focused organizations.

Experience

I've worked across nonprofit advocacy, student media, and strategic communications, contributing to published articles, campaign strategy, editorial design, video production, and digital content. These experiences have strengthened my ability to translate complex ideas into clear, accessible communication.

Interests & Focus Areas

I'm especially interested in the First Amendment, media law, journalism, and public policy. As an aspiring First Amendment attorney, I enjoy exploring how communication shapes public understanding, civic engagement, and constitutional rights.

Beyond Work

When I’m not working or studying, I’m probably traveling, wandering through a local coffee shop, listening to Niall Horan, or reading a Jane Austen novel. I love exploring new places, making playlists, and finding small everyday routines that keep life fun and grounded. I'm a firm believer that any curiosity is worth pursuing.
